US sharemarkets fell on Monday. Investors assessed the latest changes and announcements from the new Trump administration. President Trump signed a revised executive order on Monday for a 90-day travel ban to the United States from six Muslim-majority countries. At the close of trade, the Dow Jones index was lower by 51 points or 0.2%. The S&P 500 index was down by 0.3% while the Nasdaq was lower by almost 22 points or 0.4%.

US sharemarkets rose slightly on Friday as investors digested the latest speech from the Federal Reserve chair. At the close of trade the Dow Jones index was up by almost 3 points or less than 0.1%. The S&P 500 index was up by 0.1% while the Nasdaq was up by 9.5 points or 0.2%. Over the week the Dow rose by 0.9%, the S&P 500 rose 0.7% and the Nasdaq rose 0.4%.
