Market Close 24 Jun 22: ASX 200 records first back-to-back gain of the month

The Australian sharemarket rose by 0.74% and recorded its first back-to-back gain of the month. While this was enough to push the ASX 200 1.6% higher over the week, it follows a 6.6% tumble last week due to increasing US recession fears and a large rate hike.
