The Aussie market has continued to sell-off as the announcement of a stimulus package from PM Scott Morrison and an address by US President Donald Trump was unable to ease market fears of a global economic slowdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Stocks globally have taken little encouragement from stimulus measures announced by the Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the US President, Donald Trump. US stock futures have slumped in after-hours trade dragging on regional stocks including the ASX 200.

US sharemarkets fell by around 5-6% on Wednesday with investors still awaiting an economic stimulus package from the White House.

Market optimism over government policies from PM Scott Morrison and the Trump administration in the US to shore up  economies waned as the release of details were delayed. The ASX 200 slumped 213 points or 3.6% to continue its trend lower to fall to its 11^th loss in the last 14 trading days.
